Your Mission:
As a Clinical Technical and Business Development Specialist, you are the expert that patients, healthcare professionals, and distributors rely on for all things related to Cochlear implants. You’ll provide hands-on clinical support, technical troubleshooting, and training to ensure that every implant user gets the best possible hearing experience. You’ll also play a key role in growing Cochlear’s presence in the Balkans, working closely with healthcare professionals and business partners.
 

What You’ll Be Doing:

???? Clinical & Technical Support

  • Be the go-to expert for all clinical and technical aspects of Cochlear’s hearing solutions.
  • Support patients, audiologists, and surgeons with switch-ons, fittings, intraoperative measurements, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with surgical support and technical issue resolution when required.
  • Provide on-site, phone, email, and online support to professionals and distributors.
  • Conduct integrity testing and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
     

???? Training & Education

  • Train audiologists, ENT surgeons, speech therapists, and distributor teams on Cochlear’s technology.
  • Introduce and train professionals on new product launches and software updates.
  • Represent Cochlear at workshops, conferences, and industry events by giving presentations on stage—sharing insights, knowledge, and best practices.
     

???? Business Development & Customer Relations

  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager – Balkans to support Cochlear’s sales strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Identify market opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support distributor teams with commercial and technical matters.
     

???? Continuous Learning & Growth

  • Stay at the forefront of cochlear implant technology by participating in international training programs and conferences.
  • Keep up with the latest research and innovations in audiology and hearing solutions.
  • Complete Cochlear’s internal trainings for field staff, including product, clinical-technical, and surgical trainings on CEE and EMEA levels.

Who You Are:

You Have:

  • A degree in Audiology, Acoustics, Speech Pathology, Biomedical Engineering, Natural Sciences (Biology, Physics), or ENT.
  • 3+ years of cochlear implant experience (5+ years in the medical device industry preferred).
  • Strong clinical and audiological expertise with an interest in technical solutions.
  • A passion for training and educating healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Slovenian/Croatian and English (additional Balkan languages are a plus).
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Comfort presenting to large groups at conferences and workshops.
     

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have an internationally recognized qualification in audiology, speech therapy, or deaf education.
  • Have experience working with hearing implants and rehabilitation.
  • Have strong IT skills, including MS Office, MS Project, or MS Visio.
