As a Web Application Software Engineer II at Kapitus, you will play a pivotal role in driving impactful solutions for intricate business challenges within a dynamic and high-energy delivery setting. You will be spearheading a transformative initiative aimed at optimizing our operational workflows and bolstering overall efficiency. Operating within an Agile development team, you will not only engage closely with fellow developers but also interact with key business stakeholders. Your expertise will extend beyond coding, as you will actively contribute to cross-team collaboration efforts, influencing the broader success of our projects.

Description
As a Web Application Software Engineer II at Kapitus, you will play a pivotal role in driving impactful solutions for intricate business challenges within a dynamic and high-energy delivery setting. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using frontend JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Collaborate with designers to implement and optimize user interfaces.
- Help build and maintain a best-in-class team culture through partnership, open dialogue, and transparent feedback.
- Drive continual improvement to the efficiency and flexibility of the systems while keeping a high bar for customer trust, performance, and availability.
- Support legacy code as needed while building out the future state systems and solutions.
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on web application development experience using modern programming languages including JavaScript, React JS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience implementing and supporting SaaS/Cloud software solutions including developing/supporting functionality to integrate with internal systems.
- Experience developing with AWS services: Lambdas, S3, CloudFront, Event Bridge, API Gateway.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven history of working in Agile development environment.
- Experience with Cloud Formation Templates (CFTs)
- A creative and analytical problem solver focused on translating complex business problems into architecturally sound technical solutions.
- Web development experience using PHP is a plus.
- Experience in lending or financial services domains
- Experience with SCRUM, SAFE, and Test-Driven Development.
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to understand requirements, discuss software product features, technical designs and product strategy.
- Competitive Base Salary Range of $120,000 - $150,000 CAD depending on geographic location and experience
- Annual Incentive Compensation Eligibility – Up to 10% annually
