About Us
SBA Home North Carolina - The first production facility in the USA by SBA Group, a furniture manufacturer from EU member in Lithuania, with operations started in 2025. Over 250 talented professionals will work here and build their careers. It is a highly robotic and automated factory with products reaching millions of homes in the US. Today we are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Controller to ensure that products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This role is responsible for inspecting materials and finished goods, identifying defects, documenting findings, and supporting production team to maintain high levels of quality and compliance during second shift operations (2-10pm).
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Testing
- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards
- Perform visual and measurement-based inspections using standard tools and equipment
- Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformities
- Documentation & Reporting
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records
- Track and report scrap, rework, and defect trends
- Communicate quality concerns to Production and Quality Supervisors
- Process Monitoring
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to approved procedures and specifications
- Verify corrective actions are properly implemented
- Support root cause analysis for recurring quality issues
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, policies, and procedures
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Support internal audits and quality system compliance efforts
- Collaboration
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns in real time
- Assist with training operators on quality standards and inspection criteria
- Communicate shift-specific quality issues to incoming/outgoing shifts
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in furniture, wood products, or similar industries is a plus
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read measuring tools and interpret specifications
- Basic understanding of quality inspection methods
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
