About the role

We're looking for a Test Analyst to help us enhance the consumer experience for millions of visitors to the UK's leading automotive marketplace. This role is predominantly focused on manual testing, ensuring the quality and reliability of our finance products through hands-on, exploratory, and structured testing approaches. While manual testing will be your main focus, there's plenty of scope to shape and advance our automation efforts, from identifying opportunities to automate high-value scenarios, to collaborating closely with our wider test teams who are building out automation frameworks. You'll work in cross-functional workstreams alongside developers, business analysts and product leads, contributing to insight-driven, market-leading digital products and services. Our finance teams build and maintain a suite of applications, backed by a collection of automated tests. You'll help ensure these tests are robust, relevant, and embedded into our delivery pipelines. We also value continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, you'll be encouraged to promote good testing practices, contribute to process enhancements, and take part in regular showcases and feedback sessions with the wider engineering community.

What we’re looking for

• Experience with manual API testing
• Experience working with external third parties
• A good working knowledge of software development
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery/Deployment processes and how test automation fits into this
• Experience collaborating with Developers to shape the test pyramid
• A genuine enthusiasm for working within cross-functional teams
• Agile experience and a clear understanding of how quality fits into the methodology
• Curiosity and critical thinking about the way we work, the features we're building and the technologies we're using
• Drive to influence and enhance testing and software engineering best practices
• Exposure to non-functional testing such as performance and accessibility
• Understanding of Git or similar version control systems 

Nice to have

• Experience in back end automation tools

We’re offering a salary of £35,000 – £55,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares.
