Thames Hearing Services, Inc. is a well-established audiology practice founded in 1991 by clinical audiologists Jean P. Tuneski, M.S., CCC-A and Jennifer M. Clays, M.A., CCC-A. Both founders are highly credentialed, being certified audiologists, members of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, Fellows of the American Academy of Audiology, and Certified Course Directors for the Council in the Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservation. The practice specializes in a wide range of audiology services including pediatric, adult, geriatric, and occupational audiology. Our team provides expert diagnostic hearing evaluations, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids, and implements hearing loss prevention strategies. We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Audiologist to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations for patients of all ages including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Fit and dispense hearing aids tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
  • Develop and implement hearing loss prevention programs in occupational settings.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing health and hearing aid care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals as needed.
  • Stay current with advancements in audiology through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist in the state of practice.
  • Experience in pediatric, adult, geriatric, and occupational audiology is preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing diagnostic hearing assessments and hearing aid evaluations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively educate and counsel patients and families.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining patient confidentiality.
