The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for a Cyber Security Technician to work onboard the USNS MERCY (T-AH-19), stationed at San Diego Naval Station, to provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of USNS MERCY (T-AH-19) IT Systems. The Cyber Security Technician will be responsible for the operation and system administration of the Host Based Security System and ACAS Vulnerability system supporting the USNS MERCY (T-AH-19). 

Responsibilities:

Provide system administration and maintain operations of HBSS servers.

Implement HBSS migration/compliance strategy.

Troubleshoot HBSS product issues and outages.

Administer ePO tree structure management.

Administer policy catalog management.

Coordinate ASI details and planning as needed.

Maintain system patches, O/S, SQL, and HBSS STIG compliance.

Resolve ePO server (O/S, ePO, or SQL) issues.

Maintain the ePO server (automated tasks, task scheduler, database maintenance tasks, etc.).

Provide Training and Guidance to NAVY ADP Team.

Provide Issues and report to USNS MERCY Medical Network Lead and ISSM.

Certify all applicable information systems are being installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides, Program of Record configurations, or Authority to Operate guidelines.

Update ACAS Security Center/Nessus scanners with weekly plugins and feeds to enable continuous monitoring of the network security posture

Monitor and troubleshoot multiple ACAS scanners

Provide Quality Assurance to Team STIG submissions

*Position requires adaptability to new technologies for cyber requirements to include HIPAA cyber requirements*

Must possess current IAT II certification, including an appropriate Computing Environment certification, in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M

**** Position will deploy/embark with the USNS MERCY (T-AH-19) for missions, out-of-state Shipyard periods, maintain an ability to be deployable within 5 days (Ready 5 status) of natural disasters during Hurricane/Storm Seasons. The USNS MERCY (T-AH-19) can be underway for 6 months or more. You must be willing to deploy with the ship as embedded contractor support staff for that duration.****

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree with 5+ of related technical experience. Additional training, certifications, and/or years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for a degree.

Specific experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Server and hands on experience deploying and troubleshooting HBSS/ENS products (e.g. HIPS, VSE, and DLP).

Knowledge and experience in working with the McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention System, McAfee Data Loss Prevention Endpoint, and/or McAfee/Trellix product policy tuning.

Solid understanding of Microsoft operating systems and networking.

Currently possess CompTIA Security+ce or an equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II baseline certification.

Ability possess an active Secret security clearance.

HBSS specific training and/or certification (e.g. DISA HBSS 201 Admin ePO5.10 and DISA HBSS 301 Advanced ePO5.10)

Knowledge and experience in working with Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS).

Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.

Understanding of Windows Server 2019 OS / Linux REDHAT

Desired:

Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.

Previous experience onboard naval vessel or hospital ship

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
