About the role

Eastern Health is currently looking for a passionate and experienced Grade 3 Social Worker to join our Allied Health teams. Our sites and departments are located across the eastern region of Melbourne. Variable work days Mon-Sun.

This role provides service to our growing, innovative Social Work department at Angliss Hospital. The role is supported by social work team and Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department. 

This opportunity is available due to internal staff progression, we pride ourselves on cultivating a culture of learning, growth and improvement.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Eligibility for membership of the AASW
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Excellent risk assessment skills
• The ability to lead complex discharge planning
• Conflict resolution skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
