Position Summary

Mill Creek Machining (MCM) is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Spencer, IA location. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the production process delivers high-quality products in the most profitable manner while maintaining an on-time schedule.

*This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm. Our work area is 100% climate controlled. The hiring range for this position is between $60,000.00 - $75,000.00/yr. depending on experience*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures operators are effectively positioned for shift and outfitted adequately with necessary instruments and materials.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower all team members to drive manufacturing efficiency and excellence.
  • Assist leadership in ensuring all new team members receive all required training.
  • Organize and execute work assignments based on company needs.
  • Assist and support the Production Coordinator with the daily tasks and schedule.
  • Optimize production processes, maximize throughput, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Assist leadership in collaborating with QC and Production Manager to rectify quality concerns.
  • Be a champion for seeking out process improvement initiatives.
  • Assure the flow of raw materials and other resources.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience working and supervising a team in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and quality standards.
  • Experience in using an ERP system (preferred).
  • Experience with 5S controls.
  • Ability to identify workflow/output concerns.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
