WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing the overall warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, organization, and distribution of materials and supplies. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory control, coordinating logistics, and ensuring materials are delivered safely and on time.

Work involves verifying incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, organizing materials in prescribed storage areas, and preparing outgoing shipments. This role requires strong communication skills, as the Warehouse Associate must provide regular updates to internal departments and company clients regarding received and available products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping materials.
  • Verify incoming materials and merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies or damage.
  • Route materials to appropriate storage locations and ensure items are stored, stacked, or palletized according to established storage plans and safety standards.
  • Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials; report deterioration, damage, or shortages as necessary.
  • Remove materials from storage and prepare them for shipment or use within company operations.
  • Plan and maintain efficient warehouse layouts, workflows, and utilization of space.
  • Maintain documentation related to inventory, receiving, and shipping activities.
  • Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties as directed.
  • Use multiple internal computer systems daily to receive, track, and pick inventory accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and company clients each day regarding received products, order status, and inventory updates.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security of goods, materials, and warehouse facilities.

Work Environment:

  • This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 0–2 years of related warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Strong computer proficiency required; experience working with multiple systems simultaneously is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Forklift certification a plus but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

his position is very active and requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, use of hands, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 100 pounds.

Work Conditions:

Typical assignments are frequently performed in both internal and external environments with a variety of weather conditions. Ability to work under extreme hot or cold weather conditions with exposure to dust or dirt and hazards is routine and may require the use of protective personal equipment. Most of the work is performed in outside weather conditions. The worker may be subject to atmospheric conditions, is frequently in close quarters, and is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
