SUMMARY
The SAP Production Clerk supports production activities within the dairy plant by accurately recording and maintaining production data in the SAP system. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling production runs, tracking production orders, monitoring raw material usage, packaging, and finished goods to ensure accurate inventory and reporting. The Production Clerk works closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams to keep information up to date, resolve discrepancies, and support efficient day-to-day operations. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical to maintaining compliance, supporting food safety and quality standards, and driving overall plant performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify daily production runs, case counts, ingredient usages, and mix logs.
- Enter process orders, production data, and actual material usages into SAP accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update production formulas, recipe books, and related documentation.
- Review yields, variances, efficiencies, and waste; prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Coordinate and maintain the production schedule, ensuring alignment with customer orders and material availability.
- Communicate with Purchasing, Sales, and Production to verify ingredient and packaging needs.
- Monitor ingredient expiration dates, label requirements, and inventory reconciliations.
- Support formula updates, new product trials, and transitions of ingredients or packaging.
- Lead and participate in weekly production, inventory, and customer meetings to review schedules and needs.
- Organize, file, and scan all production documentation and records per company standards.
- Other duties may be assigned.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year experience of inventory control.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Excel.
