Description

The ¼ Inch Band Cutter is responsible for taking the wound abrasives and cutting it to a specific size.


Key Responsibilities  

  • Placement of a ¼” tube on a mandrel
  • Pressing of a foot pedal to engage the set of blades, cutting the tube into pieces
  • Change blades to ensure quality cut
  • Must check sizing with a go/no go gauge three (3) times per day
  • Must cut the mandatory number of pieces per order per week to meet standards
  • Ability to read and interpret a job order form

Requirements

  • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of basic measurements
  • Attention to detail 
  • Excellent attendance
  • Positive attitude

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  


Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills and basic ruler measurements knowledge. 


Physical Demands

The physical demands here require the ability to lift 15lbs worth of abrasives materials. Employees must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time during shifts with frequent overhead reaching. Use of dexterity in hands and feet is frequent and intermittent during shift. Occasional interaction with vibrating materials.  The ability to correctly wear the personal protective equipment required daily.
