Hybrid Sales Planning Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Planning Manager to join our fast-paced and growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. This individual will play a critical role in supporting sales strategy, planning, forecasting, and performance tracking across the Red Monkey Foods business enterprise, to include spices, seasonings and Epsom salts.
This role requires someone who understands the dynamics of selling into retail brick-and-mortar chains, e-commerce platforms, and B2B contract manufacturing customers and can pull, organize and analyze data toward actionable plans and insights meant to drive growth and profitability. Proficient understanding of demand planning and forecasting, as well as the SIOP process in a CPG environment. An ability to build and maintain relentless tracking systems for sales objectives and KPI’s to support the field sales team and for executive leadership team review.
Job Accountabilities:
Sales Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales data across all customer segments to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance dashboards by account, product, and channel
- Evaluate pricing, promotion effectiveness, and competitive performance in each segment
- Monitor inventory levels, sales velocity, and sell-through for retail and e-commerce SKUs
- Build and maintain sales planning models and dashboards in Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms
Sales Planning & Forecasting
- Develop sales forecasts in collaboration with demand planning, supply chain, and the field sales team as key point of contact in Red Monkey Foods’ SIOP process
- Support annual budget planning and objective setting for each business segment
- Manage customer and channel-specific forecasts including new item launches and seasonal items
Customer & Channel Insights
- Analyze customer POS data to optimize product mix and assortment.
- Prepare account-specific performance reports for key customers, identifying gaps and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with category management to provide customer and competitive insights that inform strategic decisions
- Track sales objective metrics and KPIs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, commercialization, R&D, finance and supply chain teams to align planning and tracking efforts
- Assist in RFP responses and new business pitches with relevant data and projections
- Support pricing and margin analysis in partnership with finance and operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a sales analyst, sales planner, or demand planning role, preferably within the CPG industry
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to present data clearly and concisely
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Prior experience supporting private label or store-brand product lines is a strong plus
- Familiarity with the spices/seasonings category or health/wellness commodities (like Epsom salt) is a bonus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is required
