Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are currently recruiting for two Administrators to join our Operations department on 12 month fixed term contracts.
The Administrator is responsible for performing core operational and administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, supporting daily team activities, and mitigating operational risk while maintaining data integrity. The Administrator requires a base foundation in operational procedures and practices, and the ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment, with guidance from senior team members to ensure the smooth operation of business processes and contribute to the achievement of organisational goals.
Additionally, the role is expected to contribute to a positive working environment and uphold behaviours in-line with group values, being empowered to speak up for the good of RBC.
RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements. Please note during the first 12 weeks you will be expected to be in the office full time when undertaking training.
What will you do?
- Ensure work is produced to a high level of accuracy, in a timely manner, and to relevant SLAs and operational standards (where defined)
- Support line manager in ensuring departmental guides, processes, and procedures are current, as well as supporting the accurate production of MI and reporting (for example, active engagement with ActiveOps)
- Escalate any issues as appropriate to management in relation to risks, errors, and/or daily workload completion in a timely manner
- Understand the team goals and the relationship to wider group strategy
- Identify and highlight opportunities for simplification / innovation (Little ‘i’) via continuous improvements in working practices, in conjunction with Operations Initiatives
- Support delivery of projects where appropriate
