Google Maps is one of Google's most iconic products, with a mission to
help users discover & navigate the world via the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful map of the world. With a global reach, this product is a critical consumer product and part of an ecosystem to keep Geo’s data model fresh as a surface for user generated content. The Geo Consumer team is at the heart of this mission, responsible for the core Google Maps app and the experience platforms that power experiences across Geo and Google.
We are seeking a Program Management Office (PMO) Director to join the leadership team for Geo Consumer and Geo Program Insights & Operations (GPIO) and provide oversight for the Geo Auto PMO. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the entire portfolio of features and platforms for Google Maps, ensuring the successful delivery of programs that impact users and drive our reach, engagement, and business goals. You will lead a large team of program managers, manage complex cross-functional and cross-product area collaborations, and play a critical leadership role in Geo's planning and governance processes.
The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
