Salary Range: $28,933.00 - $48,368.00

Position Summary:
To perform all secretarial and clerical duties necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the office assigned by the building administration.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma. Two years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination or education and experience.
- Knowledge and ability to use technology and related software.
- Ability to operate commonly used office machines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in typing. keyboarding.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage telephone calls in a courteous and effective manner.
- Ability to greet the public, staff and students with a professional demeanor.
- Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or resident alien status.
- Pass a criminal background check and S4
Essential Duties and Performance Responsibilities:
- Receives and routes incoming calls and correspondence.
- Provides customer service support to the school community
- Performs usual office routines, such as photocopying, general typing, filing, etc.
- Assists in the greeting, proper;y signing - in, obtaining visitor’s passes and directs visitors as is appropriate for working position
- Prepares correspondence, notices and reports.
- Maintains a well-organized, up-to-date filing system.
- Operates all business machines necessary to complete reports and clerical work required in the operation of the office.
- Arranges meetings, prepares agendas and handles follow-up activities as necessary.
- Assists, logs in, and directs visitors to the schools.
- Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate.
- Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned.
Technology Skills:
- Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Adobe, Genesis Information systems and Genesis Employee Portal.
- Evaluation of Performance
- Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
- Physical Demand
- Physical demands include the ability to remain in a stationary position when necessary, occasionally move throughout the building to access colleagues and/or supplies. Ability to operate a computer and/or other office machinery. Be able to view a computer screen. Ability to communicate verbally, and in writing via technology devices or handwritten correspondence.
