Full-Time Homeschool Educator · Rising 6th Grade Girl · Starting Late August/Early September 2026
Thrive is matching a family in Miami Beach with a full-time private educator for their daughter, a rising 6th grader. This is not a remediation role — she's a strong student who is observant, intelligent, and a genuinely great listener. She makes good grades, has friends, and by every academic measure is doing well. What the family is looking for is a teacher who can facilitate a rich, well-rounded homeschool curriculum while helping her grow into a kind, healthy, grounded, and compassionate young woman.
The student has been enrolled in an excellent private school and has done very well academically. Recently, peer social dynamics, have made the day-to-day social environment there more difficult, leading the parents to explore other educational paths. Additional pressures from social media and technology have added to the family’s decision to design an educational architecture of their own. They are now moving to a homeschool model with a dedicated private educator, supported by Thrive's Education Management team for curriculum selection, instructional coaching, extracurricular planning, assessments, progress monitoring, and portfolio/record-keeping.
This is an elite-lifestyle family that splits significant time between Miami Beach and their home in New York City, and the educator should expect to travel with the family, sometimes on relatively short notice. Travel expenses are covered by the family, and time off is provided when the educator isn't actively leading instruction during travel.
This role is as much about character and presence as it is about academics. The ideal educator is warm, kind, and compassionate — genuinely invested in modeling and reinforcing good values, not just delivering curriculum. The best-fit candidate is someone comfortable working in a culturally Jewish home with Christian faith-values. Additionally, the family wants someone who reads as professional but still young and "cool" — someone their daughter can relate to and look up to, rather than a purely traditional or formal authority figure.
