Schedule B Co-curricular Stipend
Purpose Statement
This position delivers curricular instruction and performance opportunities that extend beyond the regular school day, including seasonal concerts, regional music festivals, both auditioned and nomination-based, recruiting and promotional performances within the RSU 57 district, and other opportunities such as performances for local community events. These activities often occur during afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
This appointee will provide:
Performance & Festival Coordination
Time Commitment
Full academic year appointment
Rehearsals, performances, and enrichment activities occur before and after school, in the evenings, and occasionally on weekends.
Safety & Supervision Requirements
Responsible for student supervision and safety during all rehearsals, concerts, and off-campus trips.
Oversees all relevant medical and logistical needs when the school nurse or other personnel are not present.
Ensures compliance with all RSU 57 safety and transportation policies.
Qualifications
Maine Department of Education Music Certification (K–12) preferred
Demonstrated excellence in conducting, pedagogy, and adolescent musical development
Experience organizing and rehearsing large ensemble performances
Proven ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Compensation
Stipend position, annually appointed
