Job Title RAP Program Liaison (for Regional Apprenticeship Pathways “RAP”) (Open until filled)
Reports To: Director of Regional Apprenticeship Pathways (RAP)
Department: Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Work Schedule: 7.0 hours per day - 12-month position, non-continuing. 180 days, with the potential for additional days or hours as needed for events and/or projects. Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM (30 min unpaid lunch & 2 - 10 minute breaks)

Job Summary:
The RAP Program Liaison supports the RAP teacher in delivering engaging, hands-on lessons focused on workplace behavior, safety, and all phases of the construction process, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler fitting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, masonry, skilled trades math, labor, career exploration, and more. Responsibilities include general shop management, maintaining a safe and organized worksite, supervising students, managing inventory, and reinforcing skills and concepts in small groups and/or one-on-one. The RAP Program Liaison promotes a safe, professional learning environment through strong classroom and shop management strategies and participates in professional development and occasional evening events to support student achievement.

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is confined to a work area, required to have precise control of fingers and hand movements, experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines, and must be able to stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, kneel, stand for periods of time, and lift. The employee is required to deal with distraught and/or angry people and is exposed to infectious diseases carried by children. The noise level in the work environment is acceptable to this particular environment and can vary depending upon daily activity but will remain within acceptable ranges. Construction PPE is provided by RAP and required to be worn.
Evaluation:
The Director of Regional Apprenticeship Pathways shall periodically evaluate this position pursuant to the currently established district procedures and evaluation criteria. The process shall include evaluating the employee’s performance of the above essential job functions and qualifications.
