Job Description Summary
The OASIS Coding RN Nurse Specialist plays a critical role in the success of Aspen Healthcare Services by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of clinical documentation. This position has a direct impact on the agency’s reimbursements, CMS Star Ratings, and HH Value Based Purchasing measures, influencing quality outcomes, reimbursement integrity, and overall patient satisfaction.
The specialist will review and audit OASIS assessments, perform ICD-10 coding, and collaborate closely with clinicians to strengthen documentation practices. Through attention to detail and a commitment to clinical excellence, this role supports Aspen’s mission of delivering outstanding care and achieving top-tier Star Ratings.

Physical/Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices)
Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition; meet patient and family individualized psychosocial needs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
