Land Survey CAD Drafter for Builder Services Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Drafting Manager, the CAD Drafter will be responsible for various survey preparation and other related drafting assignments. This work is performed in an office setting and remotely. This position offers opportunities for advancement for individuals that demonstrate a strong work ethic and continually contribute to the success of the organization.

Position Schedule

This is a hybrid position. Team member will report to the office at Lewisville, TX 75067 a minimum of 3 days a week as scheduled by the supervisor.

Requirements

Land Survey CAD Drafter for Builder Services Position Responsibilities:

• Project coordination with Drafting Manager to discuss specific project and drafting requirements.
• Prepare topographic, as-built, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and other types of survey mapping drawings in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Prepare all “builder services” type drawings (plot plans, forms, slabs, finals, culvert staking exhibits, slab studies, ridge height survey, grade certificate, etc.) in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
• Prepare metes and bounds legal descriptions
• Provide professional support to field survey crews with the preparation of point files, maps, and other related materials.
• Maintain consistent and accurate timesheets through the Paylocity portal.
• Fully adhere to Exacta’s policies, procedures, and work directives.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and managers as related to Exacta’s services and overall business.
• Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical, and professional manner.

Land Survey CAD Drafter for Builder Services Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma required; Associates / Technical Degree or higher preferred.
• 1+ year of successful job-related professional drafting experience in the surveying industry; Applied CAD experience.
• Proven and demonstrated professional skill sets to include, but not limited to Carlson/Autocad Civil 3d and Microsoft Office Products.
• Field Experience a plus.
• Home Builder/Residential survey drafting experience a plus.
• Able to communicate and respond to questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner ensuring business outcomes; assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player and capable of working independently. Must have a relentlessly positive, flexible, do-whatever-it-takes attitude; must be fast on your feet, poised under pressure, and committed to client service.
• Ability to balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job and exceed client expectations.
• Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud based solutions.
