Longwood Gardens is seeking a full time Operational Services Associates to play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall operational efficiency of our world-class facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine cleaning tasks, sanitization, waste & recycling management
  • Monitoring & replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Collaborating with and support of other departments as assigned such as work order fulfillment 
  • Assisting with meeting, event, and educational class set-ups & breakdowns 
  • Assisting with specialized cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and floor polishing

 The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • 2+ years of custodial experience preferred 
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Flexibility to work varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely
