About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager.

Purchasing and Banking Control, Finance Manager will support the Finance Director - General Ledger and Banking in all accounting aspects of banking and the purchasing area.

Responsible for carrying out the daily and monthly tasks including oversight of purchasing area, bank transfer and reconciliations process and assist in preparation of reports and ongoing projects as well as ad hoc requests.

Key point of contact for all Purchasing and Banking related queries.

Provide a consistent high-level of service in line with our company policies and procedures.

What you will do 

  • Financial Controllership of Purchasing Area of Workday
  • Accountable for Bank Transfer process
  • Accountable for Bank Reconciliation process
  • Accountable for relevant Audit completion
  • 13 Week Cash flow Forecasting (see below)
  • Statutory and Corporation tax accountability (see below)
  • Key point of Contact for Bank Payments, Bank Reconciliations and Bank Approvers
  • Key point of Contact for Purchasing process, Workday Purchasing

Who you are 

  • 4-8 years’ post qualification industry or practice experience in a similar role.
  • Management Accountant Qualification, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to work with accounting and finance management.
  • Use of an ERP system with Workday Finance experience viewed as a major bonus.
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks, while meeting all internal and public company deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills including Windows, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills, which are a key requirement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Proven team working skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-prioritize with minimal supervision.
  • Second language (Spanish, French, Italian) seen as an advantage.
