Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Full stack Java Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise loyalty member benefit applications. This position is 80 percent backend and 20 percent front-end development, leveraging Java/Spring frameworks, Azure DevOps, and Git as the top skill areas. The role requires expertise in building scalable, secure services while ensuring seamless integration across enterprise applications.

Requirements

• Act as Senior Developer for Loyalty Member Benefit products
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and internal stakeholders to define requirements and deliver roadmap initiatives
• Drive consensus on technical approach, set timelines, and lead cross-functional application teams from design through delivery
• Maintain and enhance enterprise services using Domain Driven Design and Test-Driven Development
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, implementing effective solutions
• Research and implement new technologies to improve processes, performance, and security
• Support the development of coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
• Work closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure long-term scalability of enterprise solutions

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and develop services for Loyalty applications
• Perform application development using React JS, Angular, Java – Spring Boot
• Deliver Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
• Integrate DevOps principles into development workflows
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues
• Provide guidance and ensure IT hygiene for Loyalty applications
• Implement required security standards to protect customer data
• Support production environments by resolving issues, applying bug fixes, and optimizing performance
• Follow Agile and Scrum methodologies for development and communication

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java (Oracle Certified Professional preferred)
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot (Required), plus Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring JMS, Spring Cloud, AOP, WS, Spring Web Services, and Spring REST
• Frontend development experience with React JS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Skills in responsive design, web accessibility, HTML5, CSS3
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitActions (Required)
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Kubernetes (Preferred)
• Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM methodologies (Required)
• Understanding of DevOps concepts (Preferred)
• Test automation experience with Selenium or CA DevTest (Preferred)
