We are currently seeking a Wildlife Officer to join our high-performing and dynamic team at our Channel Site in Electrona!

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is perfect for someone familiar with government frameworks, experienced in animal handling, and passionate about animal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate fish surveillance efforts on site
  • Remove any wildlife from pens to prevent injuries
  • Accurately log fish health and wildlife interaction data
  • Perform infrastructure repairs as required
  • Actively strive towards zero harm for fish and other wildlife

About You

If you love being outdoors and working on the water, this role is for you!

To be successful, you will need:

  • Previous animal handling experience
  • Coxswain NC2
  • Physical fitness
  • A current driver’s license
  • Enthusiasm and reliability as a team player
  • A love for working on the water
  • The right to work full-time in Australia
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and drug test
  • Excellent record-keeping skills
