The Construction Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Construction Director across a portfolio of projects. This position will be based on our Balmoston project in North County Dubin.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Ensure design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales. Design information/package to be coordinated with the procurement programme.
  • Coordinate design work with consultants and subcontractors

  • Provide input into the preparation of the project programme
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to assure compliance with project requirements, company standards and procedures, industry codes and standards, utility company requirements and client criteria.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly look aheads in conjunction with the team
  • Track progress against the project programmes in accordance with key milestones through coordination with all trades
  • Coordinate specialist subcontractor design input and facilitate workshops to agree/establish timelines
  • Manage the involvement of the design team input and approval process of the supply chain
  • Develop relationships with design team and project stakeholders during early concept stages; manage expectations of the project through regular communication and discussions regarding requirements and specifications.
  • Coordinate construction design team meetings and record minutes and issue to the team and follow up on actions
  • Adhere to health and safety and environmental standards
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time

Requirements

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Relevant experience within the construction industry
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Composure and professionalism at all times, even when under pressure
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
