Are you a rising star in the Jewish professional world, or do you aspire to be? Do you see resource development as a critical function of Hillel’s success? Hillel of Colorado seeks a full-time Development Director to begin in Summer 2025. Reporting to the Executive Director, this key team member will lead all fundraising efforts except Major Gift and Legacy campaigns, which they will support. As part of the Leadership Team, the Director will develop and execute a multi-pronged fundraising strategy for a thriving statewide Hillel serving 2,000+ Jewish students across multiple campuses. They will oversee appeals, campaigns, donor cultivation, grassroots fundraising, and special events while launching Hillel’s first alumni fundraising initiative.
Based at The Merage & Allon Hillel Center near the University of Denver, the Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Assistant Director, Marketing Manager, and Bookkeeper to enhance financial sustainability and expand Hillel’s presence on additional campuses. Their leadership will help ensure Jewish student life continues to thrive, providing welcoming, vibrant communities where students can stay proudly Jewish and engaged in their heritage during these critical times.

About Hillel of Colorado
Hillel of Colorado inspires Jewish students to cultivate a lifelong connection to Jewish life, learning, and Israel. As an independent 501(c)3 affiliated with Hillel International, it serves over 2,000 Jewish students across metro Denver and northern Colorado, providing a welcoming, pluralistic community. With hubs at the University of Denver (DU) and Colorado State University (CSU), as well as a newly established presence at Denver’s Auraria Campus, Hillel fosters student leadership, Jewish learning, and social engagement. Programs include Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, and campus-wide events, offering students meaningful opportunities to connect with their heritage and peers. Plans are also underway to expand to the Colorado School of Mines in 2025.
At DU, Hillel engages more than 400 students annually, with weekly events and large holiday gatherings, while at CSU, participation has grown to over 300 students per year. Shabbat dinners attract 30-60 students on average, with major events drawing up to 200 attendees. CSU Hillel’s large-scale programs, such as Holocaust remembrance events and interfaith gatherings, engage more than 1,000 students. Hillel continues to expand its reach, ensuring Jewish students across Colorado’s campuses have a vibrant, supportive community that enhances their college experience and strengthens their Jewish identity.
In 1923, Rabbi Benjamin Frankel started Hillel with humble means, a noble mission and a breathtaking vision: to convey Jewish civilization to a new generation. Today, Hillel International continues to enrich the lives of Jewish students and is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world at nearly 1,000 colleges and universities across North America and around the world. As Hillel evolves as an organization, the mission remains steadfast: to create lasting connections with every Jewish student that foster an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel and train them to become the next Jewish leaders.
Hillel is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an accepting and inclusive environment for all.
