OBJECTIVE:
The Operations Mechanic will be providing support in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant in order to ensure the proper distribution of power to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist in monitoring operating parameters and take daily readings of equipment (gas turbine and auxiliary generators, electrical switches, MCC parameters, etc.). 

• Assist in carrying out isolation of the different equipment / assets. 

• Assist the Operations Engineers in performing routine equipment inspections to detect abnormal conditions. 

• Ensure that lube and hydraulic oil levels are within desired levels. 

• Assist the Reliability Team in troubleshooting activities and provide support with the fixing of technical faults. 

• Fix liquids, fluids, and gases as and when they occur. 

• Ensure that areas around equipment are tidy after maintenance work. 

• Comply with all process safety management and risk management
  best practices (EIS, PSM, MOC, etc.). Work to achieve our goal of "Zero Accidents". 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• HND or NVTI Part 1, Part 2 or Part 3 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: 

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar environment.
