Armed Security Patrol Officer - Chesterfield, MO 

As an Armed Security Patrol Officer, you are responsible for proactively safeguarding site properties and handling calls for security services. You serve as a liaison with police or other law enforcement agencies on mutual problems, respond to fire alarms, and assist in the evacuation of employees, contractors, and visitors in emergency situations. You prepare clear and accurate computer-generated reports of incidents and other activities, ensuring the protection of employees, contractors, visitors, physical assets, intellectual properties, and information assets.

This position is an onsite role, based at our Chesterfield, MO location. Candidate must reside within reasonable commuting distance to location as work will be full time, onsite.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Armed Security Patrol Officer, are to:

• Perform mobile patrol of site within the geography of responsibility on roadways and parking lots;
• Protect sites from trespassers or illegal entry;
• Protect against damage or theft of company property;
• Investigate and respond to calls for service;
• Provide emergency services and rescue, including CPR and first aid during sudden illnesses or injuries;
• Respond to intrusion and equipment alarms;
• Conduct initial investigations of accidents or crimes against company property or employees;
• Foster an environment of trust and confidence through exemplary integrity and professionalism;
• Prepare appropriate report documentation;
• Think independently, react to changing conditions, and make sound decisions based on existing circumstances;
• Maintain order and ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors during emergencies;
• Support Executive Protection as needed and be willing to travel to perform support;
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Law enforcement, military, and/or corporate security experience;
• Ability to carry a firearm in the protection of site personnel under the constraints outlined under the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) aka HR 218;
• Ability to obtain and maintain the Armed Security License through the St. Louis Metropolitan Police and St. Louis County Private Security Services, including:
• Completion of required classroom training;
• Completion of required firearms training and qualification;
• Passing of the mandatory drug test;
• Abide by the policies established by Bayer, including Bayer Security Policies and its Use of Force Policy;
• Ability to maintain all certifications and training as required by the jurisdiction of authority and possess a valid driver's license;
• Ability to remain stationary or move throughout sites and facilities as frequently as needed in various weather conditions, including the ability to ascend or descend between floors and react appropriately in emergency situations;
• Ability to work Day Shift (8 am–4 pm) Monday–Friday and be available for potential overtime and weekend shifts with the possibility of travel;
• Proficiency in performing CPR and first aid;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to prepare clear, succinct, accurate, professional, and timely written communications;
• Experience with basic computer skills and the ability to work in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook;
• Ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $42,985.60 to $64,478.40. Additional
compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include
health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and
certifications, and other relevant factors.
