We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our team in Colombia.
Our client is a leader in data-driven workforce and inventory technology for the retail, restaurant, and hospitality sectors.), provides mobile and cloud-based tools for the restaurant, retail and hospitality industries, delivering solutions designed to automate operational challenges such as recruiting, training, scheduling, business intelligence, shift communication, labor and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing 2 or 3 development teams
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Supporting the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values effectively
- Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization
- Guiding the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team
- Removing impediments or guiding the team by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (At least B2+ is required) - an excellent communicator, able to gain the respect of the team, external stakeholders, and leadership
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 3 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and drive predictability
- Proven hands-on experience with distributed and multinational teams
- Excellent people management skills, leadership
- Knowledge of other Agile frameworks: XP, Kanban, FDD
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
