Alteryx is looking for a stellar Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team to support reporting & analysis, strategic initiatives, and data automation to help drive better decision-making for the business. This key contributor role will leverage tools including Alteryx and Tableau to generate meaningful insights into sales performance and build repeatable processes. Our ideal candidate has the ability to dive deeply into the details to understand our business while assessing the big picture and collaborating with others to drive the company forward.

Responsibilities

• Support forecasting and reporting by evaluating large data sets, developing analyses, and communicating strategic recommendations

• Build and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards to help drive key business decisions through data analysis, reporting, and automation

• Apply a data-driven analytical approach to influence decision making and support company leadership in evaluating strategic initiatives

• Consolidate and analyze raw data to draw meaningful insights and present findings to senior leadership

• Assist with quarterly business reviews and other highly visible reporting materials to support the Go-To-Market organization

• Work cross-functionally to understand and gather operational data from multiple teams and summarize findings into presentations

• Partner with FP&A team members to automate existing processes and centralize data assets

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in FP&A or business/data analytics

• BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or related quantitative field

• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude: humility and humor make for a high-impact contributor

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to summarize detailed information in a concise manner

• Motivated self-starter, with ability to work with minimal direction and to set effective project plans

• Works comfortably with incomplete information, large data sets, and deals with ambiguity in a dynamic, high-pressure environment; willingness to dive deep and become the subject matter expert in any area of focus.

• Experience acquiring, ingesting, and organizing data into relational databases

• Demonstrated proficiency with tools like Salesforce, Tableau, Excel and SQL; working knowledge of Alteryx or Python a plus

• Experience providing recommendations using dashboards, visualizations, or reports using BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI
