Salary Range: $20.61-$29.41 (11 Steps)
Qualifications required: The successful candidate shall possess the following skills to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Some advanced training in business/office management is desirable.
- Proficiency in reading, math, oral and written communication.
- Working knowledge of the current computer hardware and software used in the Mentor Exempted Village School District's school offices and/or administrative offices.
- Secretary I, II requirements: Must pass the Secretary Basic Skills Test, proficiency in data base, basic Excel, mail merge, job related district software, tables, and proficiency in reports.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Essential Functions and Duties: Preference will be given to the individual who can demonstrate the following.
- Perform specific duties as determined by the immediate supervisor or administrator according to assignment and level (i.e., specific expectations for Secretary I, II, III, IV, V).
- Must be able to obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed and put into a usable form utilizing computer hardware/software as determined according to the assignment and duties associated with that assignment.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills while working with parents and staff in a positive public relations mode, including using proper telephone etiquette.
- Perform any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific school or
- Perform other duties as assigned which reasonably relate to the general scope of the job description.
