We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth for our organization. The role involves soliciting new and existing customers, generating business opportunities, and promoting the company’s product portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering business growth with new customers, securing new accounts, and expanding existing accounts.

These are your key tasks:

  • Acquire and grow business by soliciting new customers, developing existing accounts, and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
  • Design customer-focused logistics solutions, negotiating competitive rates and ensuring proposed services align with company guidelines and pricing structures.
  • Lead end-to-end deal processes, from opportunity identification and solution design to contract negotiation and successful deal closure.
  • Implement new business by coordinating with customer service teams, establishing accurate SOPs, and ensuring a smooth operational start.
  • Manage and develop key accounts through regular engagement, performance reviews (e.g., QBRs), and proactive relationship building.
  • Prepare and manage quotations in cooperation with pricing and product teams, supporting RFQs and contributing to “best in class” customer service.
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and opportunity management in Salesforce, ensuring full visibility for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across the organization, sharing sales intelligence, supporting colleagues in critical situations, and leveraging the global network to generate strategic leads.
  • Uphold professional standards, ensuring compliance with confidentiality, industry regulations, internal guidelines, and continuous market knowledge development.

Requirements

  • Completed secondary education, ideally supplemented by a qualification as Speditionsfachmann/-fachfrau or an equivalent certification in the logistics or transportation sector.
  • Several years of proven experience in sales or operational functions within transportation and logistics.
  • Demonstrated background in customer service, inside sales, and/or marketing.
  • Fluency in both English and German, with the ability to conduct complex negotiations in both languages.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Persuasive, resilient, and results-driven personality.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and to resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
