Job Description

The Head of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading and managing the Enterprise Architecture team, ensuring that Altron’s architectural approach is customer-centric, outcome-driven, and aligned with industry best practices. This role is both strategic and execution-focused, providing direct oversight to the Enterprise Architects while maintaining a dotted-line managerial relationship with all Solution Architects across the business.

Altron’s Enterprise Architects engage directly with customers to understand their business needs, define outcome-based solutions, and integrate Altron’s portfolio of products, services, and partner offerings into high-value, cross-domain solutions. The Head of Architecture ensures that this engagement remains consistent, standardized, and scalable.

This role also provides strategic input into product development, technology partnerships, and solution innovation, ensuring that Altron’s offerings and capabilities align with long-term business growth, customer success, and industry evolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enterprise Architecture Leadership: Manage and mentor the Enterprise Architecture team, ensuring their work aligns with customer business goals and industry best practices

  • Solution Standardization & Best Practices: Define architecture frameworks, reusable solution models, and technical standards to ensure consistency across customer engagements

  • Customer-Focused Engagement: Oversee customer-facing architecture initiatives, ensuring that EAs develop outcome-based solutions that integrate Altron’s products, services, and partner offerings

  • Strategic Alignment & Sales Enablement: Work closely with Strategic Sales Units (SSUs), Key Account Managers, and GTM teams to align architecture with proactive sales strategies and long-term client roadmaps

  • Technology & Innovation Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, market trends, and industry regulations, ensuring that Altron’s architecture approach remains competitive and forward-thinking

  • Collaboration & Influence: Work cross-functionally with Solution Architects, Engineering Teams, and Product Development to ensure alignment between customer requirements and Altron’s solution roadmap

  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and security best practices, maintaining the integrity and reliability of all architectural frameworks

  • Performance & Measurement: Define KPIs for architecture success, track impact on sales outcomes, and continuously improve architecture processes based on customer feedback

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Enterprise Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Zachman, SAFe, AWS/Azure Architecture) preferred.

Other requirements:

  • 10+ years in IT Architecture with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in an IT Services or Technology Solutions organization

  • Proven experience in customer-facing architecture engagements, enterprise IT strategy development, and outcome-based solutioning

  • Strong understanding of multi-domain solutions, industry frameworks, and emerging technologies (Cloud, Network, AI, Security, IoT, etc.)

  • Strategic Leadership – Ability to set vision, define frameworks, and guide architectural teams toward long-term success

  • Client-Centric Approach – Experience working directly with customers, understanding their challenges, and shaping architectural roadmaps to drive business value

  • Technical Depth & Business Acumen – Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, digital transformation trends, and commercial drivers

  • Collaboration & Influence – Ability to align architecture efforts with sales, product, and service delivery teams

  • Agile & SAFe Methodology Experience – Understanding of agile architecture principles and experience in iterative solution development.
