We have an opportunity for you to join our Finance team as our new Investor Relations Manager, where you’ll be responsible for managing the communication between Severn Trent plc and our investors, ensuring transparency and fostering strong relationships that enhance our reputation and investor confidence.
The Investor Relations Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering Severn Trent’s IR strategy, as agreed with the Board, to position the company as a credible and attractive investment for equity investors. This high-profile role involves regular engagement with influential external stakeholders whose views can materially affect the share price and demands a strong grasp of the company’s broad business activities. It also offers significant exposure to senior leadership, including the plc Board, STEC, and SMT.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience within a FTSE reporting cycle, and a solid financial understanding to support analytical tasks. Desirable attributes include expertise in external communications, stakeholder project management, and familiarity with the regulated water model. The role also demands strong personal effectiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure. A strategic mindset, resilience, and the capacity to influence senior stakeholders are key to thriving in our fast-paced, dynamic environment.
