Ferring+You
The Head of Distributor Markets will work across markets & functions and will act as true a business partner for the Head of Distributor Market, supporting her on all the aspects of the business (from identifying opportunities to managing risk) while also managing financial operations of our trading entity. Expert in Financial modelling and analytical tools, in this role, the head of Finance Distributor Markets will build complex analyses and business simulations and present them in an insightful and visual way which will facilitate decision making by the Senior Management of the Region. Experienced in financial operations, she/he will insure that processes are efficient and following accounting and Group policies standards. Having experience of working cross functionally and with individuals coming from different backgrounds, comfortable in managing by influence and able to show leadership to lead change, you will be a trusted partner across the organization while driving operational efficiency.
Your day at Ferring
Lead the Finance Distributor Markets team
Support Head of Distributor Markets in managing our partners around the world
Support strategic and operational decision making with timely and proactive analyses, assessments of variances to the plans, financial impacts and risks
Develop scenarios and stress test options taking into consideration the risk / reward profiles
Drive value creation by supporting and challenging business leaders in an active, transparent and constructive manner as well as developing a library of tools and presentations to enable financially-based decision support
Identify areas of improvement in the business and organization and propose implementation plans for changes recommended
Propose/implement corrective actions
Drive budget / forecast / business plan processes
Work collaboratively, managing relationships with the markets and other finance pillars as well as other functions - gathering inputs and jointly ensuring financial control
Business integrity: strict implementation of IFRS and internal guidelines across the entities / functions
Benchmark Ferring performance against key competitors, bring in external insight to performance appraisal
Support and evaluate existing financial planning tools to ensure timely and accurate financial planning and reporting across the Group
Behind our innovation…There’s you
Accountancy qualification or a University Master’s Degree with a major in Finance or Economics required
CPA or any Accounting certification / MBA desirable but not essential.10- years’ experience in Finance (audit in Big 4 is an advantage) and sound experience in multinational environments
Experience as Head of Finance overseeing accounting & FP&A
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and understanding of commercial models in pharmaceutical industry is essential
Strong experience in Financial Modelling / analytical tools
Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles (IFRS) and processes
Robust project and change management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in decentralized finance structure
Ability to set long-term financial targets and sponsor performance improvement projects
Experience in Alliance Management (licensing in/out) and Due diligence is a strong plus
English fluent. Spanish will be a big plus
Willingness to travel (approx. 20/30%)
