The Manager, Inside Sales & Sales Operations is a management role, responsible for overseeing and managing the inside sales team's daily operations in order to drive sales and achieve organizational goals. Also responsible for operationally managing a team of functional individual contributors focused on enabling the sales force with relevant and valuable sales tools, processes, methods and training.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trains, mentors, coaches, and supervises inside/tele sales team, ensuring they have the required tools, processes and systems to achieve their targets.
  • Prioritizes and allocates resources.
  • Assists the sales team to define the way they approach the market and achieve set targets through enabling effective sales processes, tools and training.
  • Responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients to maximize sales and client satisfaction.
  • Acts as mentor/coach and advisor that assists the sales force by delivering consistent and valuable training interventions that enable continuous improvement and revenue growth whilst closing skills gaps.
  • Focuses on building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Handles contract renewals and negotiates terms to ensure client retention.
  • Identifies and managed improvements in the inside sales processes.
  • Monitors and reports on sales metrics to senior management/leadership.
  • Improves sales performance through continuously evolving processes, technology and methodologies to meet deliverables.
  • Provides the knowledge and skills that enable successful customer business outcomes.
  • Provides sales process management support to sales teams.


Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Advanced knowledge of the organization’s products/services with the ability to explain their features and benefits to clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced business acumen with capability in negotiating contract terms, pricing, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue and client retention.
  • Advanced proficiency in operationally managing a team.
  • Advanced analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced strategic and operational team leadership skills and able to effectively manage the resources that report to them.
  • Advanced collaboration skills and able to interact professionally and to build sound relationships at all levels internally and externally.
  • Advanced ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.


Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, or a related field.


Required Experience:

  • Advanced experience in a similar inside sales management role, preferably gained within a global technology services organization.
  • Advanced experience managing an inside sales / sales operations team.
  • Advanced sales and client engagement experience
  • Advanced experience negotiating with clients and vendors.
  • Advanced strategic and operational planning experience.
  • Advanced systems experience.
