Position Overview

Joyce Factory Direct is seeking a Customer Finance Specialist to support our customers and sales teams by educating customers on financing options and guiding them through the loan application process for home improvement projects. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, lenders, and internal teams to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive financing experience.

The ideal candidate is less about years in finance and more about sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to understand a customer’s situation. You’re comfortable learning financing products, asking the right questions, and helping customers navigate decisions with confidence. If you can connect the dots, explain things clearly, and move people forward, we can teach you the rest.

Responsibilities

  • Help customers understand financing options by translating terms, payments, and tradeoffs into clear, practical guidance
  • Guide customers through the application process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of different loan options, terms, and eligibility criteria
  • Coordinate with lenders, Joyce staff, and customers to manage loan processes from start to finish
  • Provide proactive communication and status updates to all parties throughout the financing process
  • Collaborate with the sales team to integrate loan products into the overall sales approach
  • Actively engage with customers to identify needs and recommend suitable financing options
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business
  • Stay informed on trends and regulations within the consumer financing space
  • Assist with sales onboarding and training related to financing programs and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required
  • Experience working with customers in a consultative, decision-oriented role (finance, sales, service, or similar)
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to quickly learn loan products and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain and recommend financial products in simple, practical terms without overwhelming customers
  • Sales driven mindset with a passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Comfortable working independently and across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and disciplined follow-up skills
  • Home improvement or financing experience is helpful, not mandatory

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range of $50,000–$60,000 annually
  • Total compensation expectation of $70,000–$90,000 with performance-based bonuses tied to approved loans
