About the role:

The Senior Manager of Technology Operations will drive the transformation of our technology operations across Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical foundation in telecommunications, proven experience in change management, and a passion for mentoring and building high-performing teams.

You will be responsible for stabilizing operations, driving the seamless onboarding of new technology systems, and ensuring cost-effective, disruptiofree service delivery. A key focus will be integrating the LATAM technology operations into the Beyond ONE global operations framework, ensuring the team works as an aligned, integral part of the Beyond ONE family. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will lead the LATAM operations team to deliver excellence while building strong relationships across the region and organization.

What you will do:

  1. Leadership & Team Development
  • Oversee the LATAM regional technology operations teams, which include:
    • Service Management Team: Frontline operations, incident management, and escalation.
    • Service Delivery Team: Core change management, project execution, and downstream delivery.
    • Core Engineering Team: Ownership of OSS/BSS, DPI, signaling systems, virtualization, IP Networks, and AWS services.
  • Assess current capabilities, restructure teams where needed, and hire, mentor, and develop talent to align with evolving business needs.
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing team that thrives under clear goals and accountability.
  • Ensure the LATAM team integrates seamlessly with global technology operations, adopting unified practices and contributing to Beyond ONE’s global success.
  1. Technology Operations & Stability
  • Ensure seamless day-to-day operations with no service degradation during technology transitions and changes.
  • Support the replacement and onboarding of critical technology systems (DPI, OSS/BSS, AWS, AWS ROSA, AWS Outposts, virtualization, Layer 2/3 networks).
  • Collaborate with global teams to align operations with Beyond ONE's standards and practices.
  • Own SLAs and KPIs for system availability, incident resolution, and operational efficiency.
  1. Change Management & Transformation
  • Lead the execution of technology change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Act as the key contact for core projects, working with development teams, local MNOs, and global vendors to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
  • Implement best practices for incident management, escalation, and service continuity.
  1. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders: sales, finance, legal, compliance, development teams, and regional leadership.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and local MNOs to optimize services, resolve issues, and ensure smooth delivery of operations.
  • Drive vendor performance management, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-efficient outcomes.
  1. Operational Excellence & Cost Efficiency
  • Drive next-level cost-effective operations by identifying process efficiencies and technology optimizations.
  • Develop comprehensive SLAs, escalation matrices, and alarm management systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Regularly assess and improve processes to align with global standards while accommodating regional nuances.
  1. Security & Compliance
  • Ensure operational compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices across LATAM markets.
  • Oversee network security, disaster recovery planning, and system resilience strategies.
  • Collaborate with local and global teams to address data integrity, confidentiality, and availability in alignment with business goals.

What you will need:

Technical Expertise:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in telecom operations and core systems (OSS/BSS, DPI, IP Networking, signaling, virtualization).
  • Proven experience delivering complex telecom technology transformations.
  • Strong expertise in AWS, AWS ROSA, and AWS Outposts for cloud services, hybrid deployments, and application delivery.
  • Experience with MNO/MVNO technologies, including 4G, LTE, VoLTE, 5G Core, IMS Core, and related signaling protocols (MAP, CAP, SIP, Diameter).
  • In-depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking concepts: switching, routing, BGP, Gi/SGi interfaces, and core network integration.
  • Familiarity with local LATAM markets, MNO integrations, and global vendor ecosystems.

Leadership Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to build, restructure, and develop technical teams.
  • Experience leading through change and stabilizing operations during transitions.
  • Strong mentoring skills with a passion for uplifting talent and fostering collaboration.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing relationships with MNOs, vendors, and cross-functional teams across regions.

  • Resilient, agile leader with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering change while securing operational stability.
  • Strong project management skills, able to drive execution across LATAM while aligning with global HQ.
