Overview:

The Instructional Design & Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is to develop instructional materials to support the learning objectives and training plans for Arrow employees. This position is responsible for developing, and implementing agency training activities that are compliant with state, licensing, and accreditation standards and promote agency initiatives and emerging practices.

Min:USD $45,000.00/Yr.Max:USD $55,000.00/Yr.Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop courses, including researching, gathering, and analyzing relevant content to clarify learning objectives.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to plan training content, ensuring agency branding and leadership approval.
  • Apply adult learning theories to create a practical and nationally consistent training experience that directly impacts employee success.
  • Recommend and execute the development and implementation of learning programs and deliverables such as instructor led, eLearning, blended, or other media by using various software applications considering audience, business needs, and requirements.
  • Develop supporting materials for learning activities such as quick reference guides, FAQs, handouts, job aids, trainer, and participant guides.
  • Implement comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging instructional methods and technologies and integrate into existing training.
  • Research and initiate corrections and improvements to existing course catalog.
  • Create, revise, and maintain content housed in the agency’s LMS.
  • Provide expertise in the interpretation of contract, licensing, and accreditation standards and Arrow’s fulfillment of those requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, awareness and working relationships with social, educational, human services programs and other resources available to participants and their families.
  • Develop knowledge of all programs supported by Arrow including an understanding of the culture, values, principles, and practices.
  • Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
  • May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Experience in training or working with course development software preferred.
