Position Summary:

Join our dedicated Radiology team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, where you will play a vital role in performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. This position requires strong technical skills, independent judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

You will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing diagnostic and tracer studies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to departmental quality improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, measure, and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols and Radiologist directives.
  • Conduct and document quality control and quality assurance testing of imaging equipment.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and notify physicians of any changes in condition.
  • Accurately document procedures, isotope usage, and related data using the NMIS system.
  • Assist in developing and revising safety protocols for handling radioactive materials.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Support training and mentorship for radiology students and new staff members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program preferred.
  • Registered/Certified in Nuclear Medicine through ARRT or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
