Join our team as a part-time Legal Counsel for Equifax where you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on all aspects of a key strategic partnership with a focus on data privacy, competition and consumer law, as well as all aspects of commercial and corporate law. You will also play a big role in ensuring that Equifax’s arrangements with its customers and suppliers are properly documented, taking into account all key areas of legal risk.

What you’ll do
Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel within the team, you will work closely with the whole Legal team, as well as Compliance and other key business partners and stakeholders. Your role will be to advise on all legal aspects of a key strategic partnership for the organisation, as well as, in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of a wide range of new and existing customer contracts, including on-line standard terms, master services agreements, confidentiality agreements, IT agreements, licence agreements, consultancy agreements, alliance, agency and joint venture agreements. Equifax has a wide and varied range of products, so you will never be bored!
What experience you need
Minimum 5-7 years experience as a commercial lawyer, with experience in financial services.
Must have prior in-house experience with a major corporation, and/or reputable law firm experience.
Extensive and proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiation of complex commercial contracts and ongoing contractual compliance monitoring.
Comprehensive understanding of Data Privacy, Competition and Consumer, (preferably financial services law.
Ability to explain legal concepts in a commercial context.
Business focused individuals who appreciate and are able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with multiple competing priorities to juggle, the ability to interpret legal and contractual requirements and provide timely solutions-based legal risk advice, according to the needs of the business.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, great interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly, and communicate with, senior management.
Previous experience in a Compliance role.
Self starter with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
