We are a $1 Billion financial institution located in Orange County looking for Consumer Loan Closer/Funder with excellent customer service skills, initiative and a desire to work in a team setting.

Summary

Position is responsible for all aspects of consumer loan follow-up, closing and funding while providing excellent quality member service, verifying, and processing loan documents required for funding and disbursing consumer loans. Position will provide quality service to members and associates with consumer loan products and other consumer lending servicing functions. 

The position requires skillful persuasiveness, ability to communicate convincingly over the phone, and able to overcome negative responses.

Salary Range: $21.21-$26.52 plus monthly incentives

The salary ranges for positions are based on current market industry studies as well as job evaluations. During the offer phase Management will determine the appropriate compensation within the compensation range based on experience, education and internal equity. 

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in Consumer Lending loan closing, processing, funding, and member service in the financial or credit union industry.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations regarding lending and consumer loans.
• Time management and organizational skills to rapidly adapt and respond to unscheduled event or changes, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Experience with Meridian Link and Jack Henry/Symitar
• Knowledge of Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) paperwork and requirements.
• Working knowledge of consumer lending products and lending practices
• Intermediate analytical skills to analyze tax returns and pay stubs for income verification.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Competent in problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and Member service advisory skills.
• Ability to exercise strong judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy to work comfortably in a busy office environment on the phone, all day if needed
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to navigate the internet. Ability to use digital resources including but not limited to video conferencing, Microsoft Teams, DocuSign, and other tools that allow collaboration with others remotely.

Schedule

Onsite: Mon-Fri 9:00am-6:00pm with an opportunity to work hybrid after 90 days of employment.
