Pay Range: $102,939.20 - $154,419.20| Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role:
As an Infusion Pharmacist at Quincy Medical Group, you will play an essential role in supporting patient care within our Infusion Center. You will be responsible for the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of infusion medications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and safety. In addition, you will provide patient education, monitor therapy effectiveness, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver the highest standard of care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare, compound, and dispense sterile infusion medications in compliance with USP 797/800 regulations.
Review and verify infusion medication orders for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and potential interactions.
Provide clinical expertise and recommendations to providers regarding infusion therapies.
Counsel patients and families on infusion medications, potential side effects, and safe administration practices.
Monitor and assess patient response to therapy, making adjustments and interventions as appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation of compounding, dispensing, and clinical interventions.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, QMG policies, and accreditation standards.
Serve as a resource for infusion nurses and providers on medication-related questions.
Assist with formulary management and cost-effective medication utilization.
Qualifications:
Current Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing required.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in infusion or hospital pharmacy preferred.
Strong knowledge of infusion protocols, medication safety standards, and clinical best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
