Responsibilities
- Develops and oversees field review procedures.
- Reviews field documents recorded by Commercial/Industrial Data Collectors and Reviewers for accuracy and completeness, updating as necessary. Also performs similar tasks for residential/agricultural properties when needed.
- Conducts sales analysis and gathers market data to determine property values.
- Builds and adjusts cost, income, and expense models using CAMA methodology.
- Performs depreciation analysis, cost calibration, land pricing, and neighborhood delineation for commercial/industrial properties.
- Assists in addressing taxpayer complaints and supports property values during informal or formal hearings.
- Professionally represents Tyler and the client to property owners and the public, addressing questions and concerns courteously.
- Travels to property locations as needed to conduct market value reviews.
- Trains Commercial/Industrial Data Collectors and Appr as required.
- Maintains personal production records to meet productivity targets.
- Adheres to company policies, including Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Business Ethics, and Anti-Harassment.

- Provide oversight and guidance to staff as needed.
- Effectively use resources to determine the market value of commercial/industrial properties for Ad Valorem Tax purposes.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent work experience, with successful completion of selected in-house and IAAO or comparable appraisal courses.
- Proven experience in performing Commercial/Industrial property assessments.Obtain and maintain necessary certifications as required by the jurisdiction.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to research and resolve valuation issues accurately and ethically.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to record comprehensive and accurate property data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computer/statistical models to apply factors influencing property values, such as grade, CDU, neighborhood, and land characteristics.
- Familiarity with company or competitor software and databases for building and adjusting valuation models and generating reports.
- Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), GIS-based software, and statistical tools (NCSS, SPSS).
