M-F About 12 hours per week Option to increase hours by adding in a noon duty position

PHYSICAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE Responsibility: Under the supervision of the classroom teacher and school principal, assists in the learning activities and articulation of a Physical Education Program. Essential Functions: 1. Assists teachers in providing physical education lessons. 2. Directs P.E. lessons and group activities. 3. Performs a variety of P.E. skills and works with a wide variety of materials and student abilities. 4. Develops P.E. lesson plans based upon the curriculum guide to accommodate large groups of students. 5. Motivates children to enjoy P.E. and Health activities. 6. Provides an orderly environment. 7. Possesses ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written direction. Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Ability to work with large groups of children. 2. Operate audio visual and office equipment. 3. Ability to develop P.E. lesson plans based upon the curriculum guide and accommodating large groups of students. Qualifications: 1. Ability to understand and work effectively with a wide range of children. 2. Knowledge and interest in working with children in a P.E. program. 3. Ability to follow the precise procedural steps demanded in programmed learning activities. 4. Ability to learn/operate technical instructional equipment. 5. Must enjoy being outdoors. Education and Experience: 1. Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent. 2. Completion of CPR/First Aid certification. Physical Requirements: 1. Position requires normal physical strength and endurance for standing, sitting, bending, or walking. 2. Lifting 25 lbs. maximum or carrying any object weighing over 15 lbs.

Resume CPR/FA Certificate Required Must meet one of the following: 1.Pass the Paraprofessional Proficiency test 2. Possess 48 units of college coursework; 3. Possess an AA Degree or higher; or 4. Have passed the CBEST
