About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on commissioning and market development programmes which will deliver high quality, cost-effective services and good outcomes for residents.
The role requires leadership over complex and challenging projects, working across Council and external partners to develop and improve services.
You will be responsible for using analysis and insight, developing business cases, and working with senior stakeholders across a range of areas within adult social care. A key feature of the role will be to lead on transformation programmes as part of our Medium Term Financial Strategy.
Engagement and co-production is a key part of our commissioning team and the role.

About you
This role is for 1 year; we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, is proactive and driven to have an impact, and who has a focus on improving the lives of residents in Barnet.
This role is for you if you have significant experience of working in commissioning, market development or transformation within adult social care or a similar field.
You should have strong project management skills, and the ability to lead on complex projects and programmes to deliver outcomes.
We are looking for someone with analytical and communication skills, able to understand and communicate complex information and problem-solve complex challenges.
