CKD USA Corporation is currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized Accounting Assistant to join our Finance & Administration team at our Schaumburg, IL office. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting support functions, primarily focused on Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, and Collections.


This position plays a key role in supporting accurate and timely financial operations and serves as a critical point of contact for internal departments and external customers regarding payment-related inquiries.


Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of Account Receivables:

               o Handle all issues related to cash collections as they arise.

               o Contact delinquent customers and expedite payment.

               o Follow up with inside sales department regarding billing and shipment 

               o Process invoices to customers in a backup role.

  • Prepare miscellaneous reports for accounting analysis.
  • Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes. 
  • Other duties as assigned.   

Requirements

 

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 1-year collections experience and minimum 2 years of accounts receivable experience – cash application required.
  • Previous experience balancing transactions, along with an understanding of ACH and wire transfers.
  • A strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and Microsoft Excel/Word required. 
  • Experience with Dynamics or a similar ERP system is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to troubleshoot problems and solve puzzles, but know when to ask for assistance
  • Highly organized and thorough with ability to manage a high volume of accounts and detailed tasks in a deadline-driven environment required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines in a high-volume environment

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or relevant experience preferred
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary office work; minimal physical activity
  • Frequent use of computer and phone systems
  • Must be able to sit, type, and interact with a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional standing and walking (less than 1/3 of the time)
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, with ability to adjust focus
  • Moderate noise level typical of an office environment
