Hybrid Backup Machine Operator - 1st Shift en Ajinomoto Foods North America

Position Summary:

The Backup Machine Operator supports daily production operations by stepping into the machine operator role as needed. This individual ensures machines run efficiently and safely when the primary operator is absent or reassigned. When not operating machines, they assist with general production duties.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-check equipment to insure proper operation and make adjustments as appropriate.
• Set up equipment for proper dispensing, weights and textures.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition.
• Monitors equipment for mechanical problems.
• Utilizes lock-out/tag-out procedures when needed as appropriate.
• Keeps adequate product supplied to the machine.
• Coordinates product flow with Production.
• Frequently push up to 50lbs. v-mags to cooler.
• Continuously bend and lift meat shovel up to 25lbs.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Must stay within assigned work area.
• Responsiblities often require overtime, and weekend hours.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with team members of all job levels.
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of Manufacturng Experience
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and self-driven
• Experience in a food manufacturing plant is preferred
