Essential Functions

1. Visit scheduled accounts weekly/as scheduled by the Field Sales and Marketing team 

2. Arrive on time for setup for scheduled activations in designated apparel with required items to complete the event

3. Engage consumers by offering samples and educating on Big Grove Brewery and the product

4. Formulate, develop, and maintain strong communication links with customers and store/account contacts

5. Track activation data and complete post event recaps

6. Provide feedback to Field Sales and Marketing team in order to improve sampling activations and sale of all Big Grove Brewery products

7. At all times - represent Big Grove Brewery and its products to customers in a positive manner

Work Environment

This position operates in hospitality, brewery manufacturing and offsite account environments. 

Travel

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is moderately active and requires standing for a couple of hours at a time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must be available to be on feet for up to four hours - typical sampling activations are 2+ hours.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part time position and hours of work/ days may vary from week to week. Evening and weekends are a requirement. 

Education and Experience

1. All applicants must be 21+/Legal Drinking Age 

2. Must reside in or near Iowa markets of Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Iowa City, Solon

3. Previous work experience of one year as a Brand Ambassador, Server or in Bartending  (verifiable previous work at other breweries or Big Grove Brewery in lieu of the 1 year req.)

4. Reliable means of transportation

5. Ongoing access to a computer or smartphone with internet/email access

6. Must be available to work Wednesday-Sunday evenings - typical shifts for Off Premise retail activations are 4-9pm, On Premise times may vary depending on account

7. Must be comfortable operating alone or in a team - some activations require only one individual

8. Passion for meeting new people and evangelizing our outstanding beer - be the face of the brand in market

9. Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality - willingness to learn.  We don’t expect beer experts, but we can train you to be one.
