Hybrid AR Accounting Analyst en Mechanical Dynamics & Analytics LLC

Description

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world class supplier of power generation repairs and services, is seeking a motivated AR Analyst. We have an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work. 

  Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with various divisions’ operating and finance managers, to work on AR collections (job issues, PO issues, etc.) 
• Apply daily cash receipts in Epicor (ERP system)
• Make daily calls / emails for collection
• Manage AR collection forecast
• Prepare and maintain various financial reports including forecasting and past due reports 
•  Maintain customer payment terms in Epicor
•  Calculate customer discounts for customers with volume rebate programs 
•  Maintain customer tax exemption certificates in Avalara tax software
•  Credit research, evaluation and determinations (credit worthiness) using Creditsafe credit tool
•  Research cash overpayments / unapplied cash and apply cash to customer invoices as necessary or prepare refund requests
•  Prepare AR invoice adjustments for invoice short payments for discounts, bank fees, tax withholdings, etc.
•  Conduct research and analysis on customer accounts (billing / payment history vs. customer PO balance)
•  Prepare customer account statements, as requested

Requirements

• Experience in MS Excel, specifically Excel Pivot tables, maintaining and manipulating large amounts of data in Excel.
• Must be comfortable supporting multiple divisions / departments, dealing with the sales force, internal billers and operations managers, must be able to multitask
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and people skills, apt in negotiating and persuading
• 2-5 years of experience in accounts receivable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating the ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting or related field
•  Bi-lingual is not necessary, but a big plus
